
Fourth Infantry Division was created in 1917, and entered the war in France in 1918. The Division was deactivated in 1921, and reactivated for World War II in 1940 as a Motorized Infantry Division. Current home base is split between Fort Hood, Texas, and Fort Carson, Colorado.
