Bill’s Family: Ancestors of Eldora Beahm |
||
| These pages are a compilation of my work and that of others. You are welcome to use anything on this page, but be aware that although I have been as careful and accurate as possible, I am not a professional genealogist. I have been working on our genealogy for over 25 years, and started the website in 2005. Some of the lines I have researched myself; some, especially on Rita’s side, we inherited the research of other family members over the past 75 years. Still, the majority of these pages are limited to compilations from published books and what I could find on the internet. The target audience was and remains our family, so the family pages are limited to our own ancestors. I have set it up so that each page is one set of ancestors, with their descendants. For the most part I have limited my scope to their great-grandchildren (second cousins to us); in some cases I list sources which may continue further. | HOME | |

31266. William Fry was born 10 Jul 1559 in Dorset, England, and died 26 Oct 1642 in England. He married in England,
31267. Sarah Hill. Sarah was born about 1572 in Dorset, England, and died in England.
Fry could originate from Anglo-Saxon or other Germanic references to a freeman. Some lines may be from followers of the Norse godess Frigg or Freya. Hill is a very common name. Many lines are locational, referring to someone who lived on or near a hill. Some lines are from Germanic first names such as Hildebrand, Hildegard, Hillary, etc.
William and Sarah had five children:
31266.1. Mary
31266.2. Tristram
31266.3. William
31266.4. Thomasine Fry [15633] (1611 Eng - 1672 CT) and John Meigs are direct ancestors, separate page.
31266.5. Hannah

This page is just here to hold a place. It will be filled in as I get to it, check home page for updates.
I have a large amount of material to add, and expect completion no sooner than 2012.
I am currently going back through old pages to add sources -- have not completed this one yet, but will eventually
