William and Mary had eight children:

7824.1.  John Stevens was born 3 Mar 1653/54 in Guilford (New Haven) Connecticut, and died in 1676 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut.

7824.2.  Samuel Stevens was born 1 Mar 1657 in Guilford (New Haven) Connecticut, and died 7 Jul 1712 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut. He married 23 Jun 1702 in Killingworth, Melatiah Bradford, daughter of William Bradford (1624-1704) and Alice Richards (1627-1671). Melatiah was born on 1 Nov 1664 in Boston (Middlesex) Massachusetts, and died sometime after 1739 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut. She is a Mayflower descendant, granddaughter of Governor William Bradford and Alice Carpenter. Melatiah had three children age 7 to 9 from a previous marriage to 15620.5.3 John Steele. I would guess based on his age that this may be Samuel's second marriage also, but we haven't seen anything on a first marriage.

Samuel and Melatiah had two children (first cousins to us):

7824.2.1. Elizabeth Stevens was born in 1703 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut.

7824.2.2. William Stevens was born 2 Feb 1705/06 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died about Aug 1751. Some have 24 Aug 1707 for his birth; this might be a baptism date, or else it is probably a mixup of two William Stevens (and of course it is always possible that we have the wrong one here). William married 26 Aug 1734 in Killingworth, Ruhamah Earle (also seen as Rhueana Earle and Ruhama Earl). Some have her marriage and the children assigned to William's cousin, 15648.3.5.8 William Stevens. These types of errors are unavoidable, as the main sources of information for this time are church records which usually show the names of the principals but not their parents.

William and Ruhamah had six children (second cousins to us):

7824.2.2.1. Ruhamah Stevens was born 20 Apr 1735 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died in 1754, age 18.

7824.2.2.2. William Stevens was born 1 Sep 1736 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died about Feb 1763 in Hartford (Hartford) Connecticut. He married 9 Jul 1761, Elisabeth Sedgewick, daughter of William Sedgewick and Elizabeth Brace. Elisabeth was born about 1741 (baptized 5 Jul 1741), and died 24 Nov 1802.

7824.2.2.3. Christopher Stevens was born 13 Sep 1738 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died 4 Sep 1787 in Killingworth. He married on 27 Sep 1764 in Killingworth, his cousin Naomi Stevens [15648.3.1.2.4.2], daughter of Amos Stevens (1711-1803) and Mary Stannard (1715-1786). Naomi was born 23 Apr 1737 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut. Christopher and Naomi are third cousins once removed, both descending from 15648 John Stevens and Mary Moulson.

He married 24 Oct 1771 in New Haven (New Haven) Connecticut, Esther Macumber, daughter of Jeremiah Macumber and Sarah Cooper. Esther was born about 1750 (baptized 2 Sep 1750) in New Haven (New Haven) Connecticut, and died 14 Aug 1829 in New Haven. Leverett was a sea captain; a website source says he was "last reported on the coast of Florida 24 Oct 1799" -- not sure if this means he was lost at sea.

7824.2.2.6. Moses Stevens was born 30 Aug 1747 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died sometime before 9 Mar 1762, age 14.
