3918. Thomas Hull was born 29 Mar 1665 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died in 1720. He is a son of Josiah Hull [15668] and Elizabeth Loomis [15669]. Thomas married 10 Dec 1685 in Killingworth,

3919. Hannah Sheather. Hannah was born in 1666 in Guilford (New Haven) Connecticut, and died 15 Sep 1714 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut. She is a daughter of John Sheather [7838] and Susanna ___ [7839].

Thomas skips a generation. His older brother John is also our direct ancestor, 7834 John Hull, Generation 13, and their parents are Generation 14.

3918.9. Josiah Hull was born 10 Sep 1707 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died 13 Oct 1753 in Killingworth. He married 3 Feb 1731/32 in Killingworth, Elizabeth Redfield [1964.2], daughter of Theophilus Redfield (1682-1770) and Priscilla Grinnell (1689-1776).
Josiah and Elizabeth had nine children, first cousins to us through both parents, listed under Elizabeth who is a closer generation to us.

3918.1.1. Elizabeth Hull was born 19 Nov 1717 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut. She married 9 Mar 1748/49, Stephen Whittlesey [7848.4.4.2], son of Joseph Whittlesey and Abigail Chapman. Stephen was born about 1724 in Saybrook (Middlesex) Connecticut.

3918.1.2. Eliakim Hull was born 28 Jan 1721 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut. He married 28 Nov 1744, Rebecca Stevens [15648.3.5.4.4], daughter of Joseph Stevens (1693-1784) and Deborah Stevens (1694-). Rebecca was born 22 Feb 1724 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut.

He married Abigail Hubbell [7826.1.2.3.6], daughter of John Hubbell (1710-1758) and Hannah Wheeler (1719-1797). Abigail was born about 1755 and died on 29 Dec 1805 in Oxford (New Haven) Connecticut.

3918.1.3. Enos Hull was born 12 Jan 1724/25 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died 17 Feb 1785. He married 6 Aug 1752, Phebe Graves [3910.3.2], daughter of John Graves (1695-1771) and Keziah Norton (1700-). Phebe was born 29 Jan 1726, and died 1 Sep 1784.

3918.1.3.1. Eliakim Hull was born 1 Aug 1752 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died 15 Jan 1813 in Durham, Connecticut. He married first, on 12 May 1785, Olive Richmond. Eliakim married second, about 1787, Rachel Wells. Rachel was born in 1749 and died before 1795. Eliakim and Rachel had three children. Eliakim married third, 11 Sep 1796 in Killingworth, Hannah Nettleton.

3918.1.3.3. Phebe Hull was born 5 Oct 1755 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut.

3918.1.3.4. Mary Hull was born 25 Jan 1758 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died 24 Jul 1778.

3918.1.3.5. Leon Hull was born about 1760 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died in 1780.

3918.2. Elizabeth Hull was born 20 Dec 1691 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died 18 Sep 1752. She married 5 Sep 1713 in Killingworth, Michael Griswold, son of Isaac Griswold and Elizabeth Bradley. Michael was born in 1690 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died 8 Jun 1753 in Killingworth. There is some obvious confusion of this Elizabeth with her cousin 15668.6.6 Elizabeth Hull. Some have Michael married to that Elizabeth, others have him married to this one but have her with her cousin’s Aug 1692 birth date. I think this one is probably correct, but have seen no documentation myself. There is also one source that has this Elizabeth married to 7834.3 Josiah Hull.

He married 2 Jun 1740 in Killingworth, Sarah Parmelee [15670.6.5.11], daughter of Nathaniel Parmelee (1672-) and Esther Kelsey (1675-1718). Sarah was born 1 Mar 1717/18 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died 8 May 1784 in Killingworth.
Michael and Sarah had nine children (both second and third cousin to us):

3918.2.1.1. Mary Griswold was born 29 May 1742 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died 19 Aug 1789 in Killingworth. She married on 14 Jul 1763 in Killingworth, her cousin Daniel Lane [7864.6.6.1], son of Daniel Lane (1710-1794) and Jemima Crane (1713- ). Daniel was born on 18 Dec 1736 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut. Daniel and Mary are second cousins, through 15670.6 John Kelsey and Hannah Disborough.

3918.2.1.2. Esther Griswold was born 19 Apr 1744 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut. She married 4 Oct 1770 in Killingworth, her cousin James Nettleton [7838.1.1.7.2], son of Jeremiah Nettleton (1718-1799) and Deborah Kelsey (1711-1779). James was born 23 Jun 1747 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died in 1813 in Killingworth. James and Esther are third cousins through three separate lines: 15668 Josiah Hull and Elizabeth Loomis, 15670 William Kelsey, and 7838 John Sheather and Susanna.

3918.2.1.3. Moses Griswold was born 19 Nov 1745 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died 17 May 1822 in Killingworth. He married on 2 Feb 1775 in Killingworth, his cousin Lucretia Kelsey [15670.9.2.1.2], daughter of Daniel Kelsey (1706-1794) and Mary Platts (~1704-1772). Lucretia was born 7 Oct 1741 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died 15 Jun 1788 in Killingworth. Lucretia and Moses are third cousins, both being descended from 15670 William Kelsey.

3918.2.1.4. Jerusha Griswold was born 18 Sep 1747 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut. She married Levi Putty.

3918.2.1.5. Sarah Griswold was born 28 Jul 1749 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died 27 Jan 1838 in Conway (Carroll) New Hampshire. She married 9 Feb 1775 in North Killingworth, her cousin Silas Wilcox [1956.3.2], son of Silas Wilcox (1720-1755) and Sarah Stevens. Silas was born 20 Feb 1749 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died 22 Dec 1828. Sarah and Silas are third cousins once removed, both being descended from 15668 Josiah Hull and Elizabeth Loomis.
Sarah and Silas had five children, listed under Silas.

3918.2.1.6. Abigail Griswold was born 21 Sep 1751 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut.

3918.2.1.7. Michael Griswold was born 18 Apr 1754 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died 28 May 1771.

3918.2.1.8. Ebenezer Griswold was born 22 May 1756 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died 11 Feb 1826. He married 23 Sep 1779 in Killingworth, Phebe Chatfield. Phebe was born about 1760 in Killingworth, and died 2 Dec 1818. Phebe may be related to us, but I have not been able to find her parents.
Ebenezer and Phebe had several children, of whom we list one (third cousin to us):

3918.2.1.8.1. Sally Griswold was born 5 Oct 1788 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died 4 Oct 1853. She married 14 Dec 1825, her cousin William Griswold [1958.4.7.2], son of Abner Griswold (1762-1849) and Mary Hull (1765-1841). William was born about 1794 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died 4 Feb 1862. William and Sally are second cousins once removed through 15670.6.5 Esther Kelsey and Nathaniel Parmelee, and also third cousins through 3918 Thomas Hull and Hannah Sheather. Oddly, they are not related through Griswold, at least as far back as early 1600’s in England.

3918.2.1.9. Nathaniel Griswold was born 30 Nov 1759 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died 3 May 1839 in Killingworth. He married first, about 1780, Sarah Wells, daughter of Edmund Welles and Mary Howell. Sarah was born 28 Feb 1757 in Hebron (Tolland) Connecticut, and died 30 Sep 1819 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut.
Nathaniel and Sarah had six children, of whom we list one (third cousin to us):

3918.2.1.9.6. Tryal Griswold was born in 1794 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died 16 Aug 1853 in Killingworth. She married on 10 Feb 1814 in Killingworth, her cousin Josiah Chatfield [1958.2.5.2], son of Josiah Chatfield and Susanna Hull. Josiah was born 4 Mar 1790 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died 23 Oct 1826 in Killingworth. Josiah and Tryal are second cousins, both being descended from Michael Griswold and 3918.2 Elizabeth Hull. They are also second cousins once removed, through Nathaniel Parmelee and 15670.6.5 Esther Kelsey.

Nathaniel married second, in 1819, his cousin Silvia Stevens [1956.6.1], daughter of Reuben Stevens (1738-1819) and Dinah Parmelee (1734-1812). Silvia was born 10 Nov 1762 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died 2 Nov 1822 in Killingworth. Nathaniel and Silvia are first cousins once removed, both descending from 15670.6.5 Esther Kelsey and Nathaniel Parmelee. Silvia had previously been married to Samuel Towner. Nathaniel married third, 26 Feb 1824, Lois Clark [3930.5.4.7], daughter of Daniel Clark and Deborah Lewis. Lois was born about 1760 in Haddam (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died 20 Jun 1850.

3918.2.2. Abigail Griswold was born 12 Apr 1717 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died 5 Aug 1751 in Killingworth. She married on 16 Jan 1745/46 in Killingworth, Joseph Kelsey [15670.6.8.4], son of Stephen Kelsey (1682-1728) and Concurrence Hayden. Joseph was born on 20 Jan 1710/11 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut.
Abigail and Joseph had four children (both second and third cousin to us):

3918.2.4. Ebenezer Griswold was born 26 May 1722 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut. He married 3 Dec 1746, Lydia Parmelee [15670.6.5.6], son of Nathaniel Parmelee (1672- ) and Esther Kelsey (1675-1718). Lydia was born 12 Sep 1707 in Killingworth. She had five children from a previous marriage to 7822.5.2 Ira Ward.

3918.2.5. Elizabeth Griswold was born 10 Jun 1725 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut.

3918.2.6. Isabel Griswold was born 9 Apr 1727 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut. She married Solomon Davis.

3918.2.7. Mary Griswold was born 20 Sep 1729 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut.

3918.2.8. Rebina Griswold was born 11 Apr 1732 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died 9 Aug 1805. She married 17 Oct 1754 in Killingworth, her first cousin Josiah Chatfield [1958.2], son of Josiah Chatfield (1701-1790) and Mary Hull (1701-1743), Josiah was born 23 Feb 1726/27 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died 8 Mar 1790 in Killingworth.
Rebina and Josiah had eight children, listed under Josiah.

3918.3. Concurrence Hull was born 6 Jan 1692/93 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died 14 Feb 1740 in Killingworth. She married on 14 Apr 1720 in Killingworth, Gideon Wellman, son of William Wellman and Elizabeth Joy. Gideon was born 8 Mar 1695/96 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died in 1760. After Concurrence died, Gideon married [3930.6] Rebecca Grinnell.
Concurrence and Gideon had eight children (first cousins to us):

She married 27 Jan 1763 in Killingworth, her cousin Josiah Stevens [3912.6.4], son of Nathaniel Stevens (1710-1805) and Abigail Buell (1718). Josiah was born 21 Oct 1743 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died in 1804 in New Hampshire. Josiah and Mary are third cousins once removed, both being descended from 15668 John Hull and Elizabeth Loomis. They are also fourth cousins, through 31336 George Hull and Thamzen Mitchell.

3918.3.4. Mercy Wellman was born 6 Oct 1726 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died in 1751. She married 17 Apr 1746, Stiles Stevens [15648.3.13.3], son of Jonathan Stevens and Deborah Stiles. Stiles was born in 1723 in Killingworth.

3918.3.5. William Wellman was born 11 Aug 1728 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut. He married 17 Dec 1750, Margaret Stevens.

3918.3.6. Barnabas Wellman was born 1 Jun 1730 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died in 1766. He married 7 Apr 1752, Sarah Ward [7822.5.2.5], daughter of Ira Ward and Lydia Parmelee. Sarah was born 5 May 1732 in Killingworth.
Barnabas and Sarah had seven children (both second and third cousins to us):

3918.3.6.1. Freelove Wellman was born 13 Mar 1753 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut. She married 30 May 1771, James Arnold, son of Samuel Arnold and Sarah Brainerd. James was born in 1753 and died 2 May 1813.

3918.3.6.3. Barnabas Wellman was born 15 Sep 1756 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died 8 Mar 1847 in Asheville (Chautauqua) New York.

3918.3.6.4. Paul Wellman was born 15 Apr 1757 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died in 1829 in Cayuga Co, New York.

3918.3.6.5. Sarah Wellman was born 31 Jan 1759 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut.

3918.3.6.6. John Wellman was born 4 Jan 1761 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died 25 May 1841 in Panama (Chautauqua) New York.

3918.3.6.7. James Wellman was born 10 May 1763 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut.

3918.3.7. Lydia Wellman was born 8 Sep 1733 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died 15 Mar 1801 in Killingworth. She married 10 Mar 1757 in Killingworth, Silas Kelsey [15670.9.10.2], son of Samuel Kelsey (1701-1786) and Margaret Kelsey (1702-1752). Silas was born 16 Apr 1733 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died 28 Aug 1802 in Killingworth.

John was born 15 Dec 1760 in Guilford (New Haven) Connecticut, and died 8 Jul 1812 in Clinton (Middlesex) Connecticut.
Margaret and John had several children, of whom we list one under John.

3918.5. Nathaniel Hull was born 23 Apr 1699 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut. He married three times, and had children from each marriage.
Nathaniel married first, 25 Jan 1722 in Killingworth, Elizabeth Griswold, daughter of Isaac Griswold (1658-1727) and Elizabeth Bradley (1671-1732). Elizabeth was born 5 Apr 1700 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died in 1735 in Killingworth.
Nathaniel and Elizabeth had four children (first cousins to us):

Nathaniel married second, in 1736, Esther Bristol [3920.1.3], daughter of Samuel Bristol (1679-1727) and Esther Edwards. Esther was born 13 Jul 1720.
Nathaniel and Esther had two children (both first and second cousins to us):

3918.5.6. Abigail Hull was born about 1743 in Connecticut, and died 21 Feb 1813. She married Cornelius Stratton.

Most sources have that Esther died about 1743 and that Nathaniel married Hannah Farhume the same year. This may be off by a year or two, and some place Concurrence (#7) as a daughter of Esther.

Josiah was born 11 Sep 1700 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died Apr 1780 in Killingworth.
Mercy and Josiah had nine children (both first and third cousins to us):

Hannah was born 15 Apr 1737 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died 7 May 1824 in Killingworth. Hannah and Cornelius are first cousins, both being descended from 15670.6.5 Esther Kelsey and Nathaniel Parmelee.
Cornelius and Hannah had four children (both second and fourth cousin to us):

3918.7.5.1. Aaron Parmelee was born 14 Jul 1763 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died 10 Jan 1800, lost at sea. He married 19 Jul 1786 in Killingworth, his cousin Sarah Stevens [3912.3.5.7], daughter of Hubbell Stevens and Deborah Jones. Sarah was born 29 Oct 1768 in Clinton (Middlesex) Connecticut. Aaron and Sarah are third cousins once removed, both being descended from 15668 Josiah Hull and Elizabeth Loomis. They are also fourth cousins, both descending from 15670 William Kelsey.

Moses and Aaron are identical twins. They were said to have had a connection where if something good or bad happened to one, the other would feel it. 3918.11.5.5. Gardiner Parmelee was born about 1777 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died in 1810 in Killinworth. He married 28 May 1800 in Killingworth, his cousin Experience Wilcox [3932.3.2.6.3], daughter of Simeon Wilcox and Phebe Kelsey. Experience was born 4 Apr 1782 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died 12 Dec 1854 in Twinsburg (Summit) Ohio. Gardiner and Experience are third cousins once removed, both descending from 15668 Josiah Hull and Elizabeth Loomis. They are also third cousins once removed through 15670.6 John Kelsey and Hannah Disborough.

Eleazer was born 7 Apr 1740 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died 19 Sep 1777.

He married 30 Jan 1793 in New Canaan, New York, his cousin Mary Chatfield [3916.9.4.1], daughter of Stephen Chatfield and Naomi Marvin. Mary was born 16 Jul 1774 in Salisbury (Litchfield) Connecticut, and died 1 Feb 1851 in Noble Co, Indiana. Joel and Mary are third cousins once removed, both being decended from 15668 Josiah Hull and Elizabeth Loomis. They are also fourth cousins, both descending from 15670 William Kelsey.
