I have been working on our genealogy for over 25 years, and started the website in 2005. Some of the lines I have researched myself; some, especially on Rita’s side, we inherited the research of other family members over the past 75 years. Still, the majority of these pages are limited to compilations from published books and what I could find on the internet. The target audience was and remains our family, so the family pages are limited to our own ancestors. I have set it up so that each page is one set of ancestors, with their descendants. 3904. Moses Blatchley was born 25 Mar 1650 in Branford (New Haven) Connecticut, and died 15 Oct 1693 in Guilford (New Haven) Connecticut. He is a son of Thomas Blatchley [7808] and Susanna Ball [7809]. Moses married 1675 in New Haven Co, Connecticut,
3905. Susanna Bishop. Susanna was born in 1657 in Guilford (New Haven) Connecticut, and died 17 Oct 1729 in Guilford. She is a daughter of John Bishop [7810] and Susanna Goldham [7811]. They were Anglican.
Moses and Susanna had eight children:
3904.1. Moses Blatchley was born 10 Jan 1678 in Guilford (New Haven) Connecticut, and died 17 Oct 1703 in Guilford. He married Sarah Benton. Sarah was born in 1685.
3904.2. Mehitabel Blatchley was born 13 Mar 1682 in Guilford (New Haven) Connecticut, and died within a few weeks.
3904.3. Mehitabel Blatchley was born Jan 1683 in Guilford (New Haven) Connecticut, and died 6 Mar 1751.
3904.4. Abraham Blatchley was born 24 Sep 1684 in Guilford (New Haven) Connecticut, and died in Durham (Middlesex) Connecticut. He married 16 Nov 1727, Elizabeth Stone [15688.3.2.8], daughter of Samuel Stone and Sarah Taintor. Elizabeth was born in 1697 in Guilford. They had no children.
3904.5. Abigail Blatchley was born 10 Dec 1686 in Guilford (New Haven) Connecticut, and died 15 Apr 1755.

3904.7. Joshua Blatchley (1692 CT - 1742) had descendants and is expanded below.
3904.8. Abiel Blatchley was born 7 Feb 1694 in Guilford (New Haven) Connecticut, and died 15 Jan 1763.
3904.7. Joshua Blatchley was born 14 Apr 1692 in Guilford (New Haven) Connecticut,
and died 31 Mar 1742. He married 22 Nov 1721 in East Guilford, Mary Field,
daughter of Ebenezer Field (1671-1713) and Mary Dudley (1678 CT - 1740). Mary was born 15 Nov 1699, and died 9 Feb 1793.
Her brother David marries Joshua’s first cousin, 7810.2.3 Ann Bishop. After Joshua died, Mary married Ebenezer Bartlett.
Joshua and Mary had two children that we know of, there may be others (first cousins to us):

He married 16 Jan 1744 in Connecticut, Huldah Munger. They resided in East Guilford (New Haven) Connecticut.
Moses and Huldah had ten children (second cousins to us):
3904.7.1.1. Abigail Blatchley was born 17 Dec 1744 in Connecticut, and died 21 Jul 1796. She married Josiah Scranton [7820.8.3.4], son of Josiah Scranton (1705-1751) and Mary Dickinson. Josiah was born about 1740 probably in Connecticut.
3904.7.1.2. Moses Blatchley was born 28 May 1746 in Connecticut, and died 13 Feb 1826.
3904.7.1.3. Mary Blatchley was born 7 Mar 1748 in Connecticut, and died Oct 1810. She married Joseph Dowd.
3904.7.1.4. Aaron Blatchley was born 6 Apr 1750 in Connecticut, and died 7 Apr 1826. He married Prudence Graves.
Aaron and Prudence had one child (third cousin to us):
3904.7.1.4.1. Martin Blatchley was born 10 Sep 1770 in Guilford (New Haven) Connecticut. He married
Barbara Redfield [1964.11.3], daughter of Josiah Redfield and Sarah Parmelee. Barbara was
born 2 Apr 1764 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut.
Martin and Barbara had two children, listed under Barbara who is closer to the main line.
3904.7.1.5. Huldah Blatchley (twin) was born 17 Sep 1752 in Connecticut. She married Ephraim Stannard.
3904.7.1.6. Mabel Blatchley (twin) was born 17 Sep 1752 in Connecticut, and died 16 Jan 1811. She married James Hill.
3904.7.1.7. Anna Blatchley was born 19 Jan 1756 in Connecticut, and died 27 Dec 1826. She married John Scranton [7820.8.3.5], son of Josiah Scranton (1705-1751) and Mary Dickinson. John was born about 1742 probably in Connecticut, and died 22 Aug 1832.
3904.7.1.8. Eunice Blatchley was born 8 Feb 1757 in Connecticut, and died 19 Mar 1803. She married Hiel Willard.
3904.7.1.9. Abraham Blatchley was born 25 Jan 1760 in Connecticut, and died 31 Dec 1786. He married Abigail Coe.
3904.7.1.10. Submit Blatchley was born 17 Aug 1765 in Connecticut, and died 27 Sep 1765.
3904.7.2. Joshua Blatchley was born 15 Feb 1724 in Connecticut, and died 2 Sep 1816
in East Guilford (New Haven) Connecticut. He married on 11 Oct 1752 in Connecticut,
Abigail Dudley [3924.3.1.2], daughter of Thomas Dudley (1701 - 1776) and Abigail Seward (1714 - 1790). Abigail was
born 22 Dec 1735, and died 18 Apr 1820. They resided in East Guilford.
Joshua and Abigail had seven children (second cousins to us):
3904.7.2.1. Anna Blatchley was born 23 May 1757 in East Guilford (New Haven) Connecticut, and died 4 Apr 1827. She married Ebenezer Walkley.
3904.7.2.2. Abigail Blatchley was born 1 Sep 1763 in East Guilford (New Haven) Connecticut, and died 23 Jun 1764 in East Guilford, age 9 months.
3904.7.2.3. William Blatchley was born 19 Nov 1765 in East Guilford (New Haven) Connecticut, and died 24 Nov 1767 in East Guilford, age 2.
3904.7.2.4. Abigail Blatchley (called Nabby) was born 12 May 1768 in East Guilford (New Haven) Connecticut, and died 24 Nov 1792 in East Guilford, probably from childbirth. She married Daniel Chittenden [7824.6.5.5.7], son of Daniel Chittenden and Grace Watrous. Daniel was born 8 Aug 1762, and died 23 Jul 1818.
3904.7.2.5. Joel Blatchley was born 12 Jul 1770 in East Guilford (New Haven) Connecticut, and died 21 Jul 1853 in Connecticut. He married 9 Mar 1794, Ruth Loper. Ruth was born 20 Sep 1774 in N. Guilford (New Haven) Connecticut, and died 9 Apr 1823 in Durham, Connecticut. They had ten children.
3904.7.2.6. Selina Blatchley was born 11 Nov 1772 in Connecticut. She married Elihu Bartlett [7816.3.9.3.1], son of Elihu Bartlett and Stratira Meigs. Elihu was born about 1770 in Connecticut.
3904.7.2.7. Mary Blatchley was born 29 Nov 1775 in Connecticut, and died 17 Jun 1838. She married Joel Munger.
