Bezaleel Bristol  [Gen 11, son of  3920 Samuel Bristol & Phebe ___]

Hester Stone [daughter of 3922 Benajah Stone & Esther Kirby]

Almost all of our information on this family is from secondary website sources; I am presenting what we have found, but cannot say anything about the accuracy of  the information.  

1960.  Bezaleel Bristol was born in 1681 in New Haven Co, Connecticut, and died 25 Apr 1764, probably in Connecticut.  He married 27 Jan 1708/09,

1961.  Hester Stone.  Hester was born about 1685 probably in Guilford (New Haven) Connecticut, and died 25 Mar 1710/11.  They were Congregational.

Bezaleel and Hester had only one child:

1960.1.  Bezaleel Bristol Jr. [980] (1710 CT - 1758 CT) and Eunice Dudley are direct ancestors, separate page.

After Hester died, Bezaleel married second, 30 Jan 1711/12, Desire Fey (also seen as Desire Fry).  Desire was born about 1685, and died 4 Aug 1723 in Connecticut.  Some sources assign Bezaleel Jr. as a child of Desire.
Bezaleel and Desire had two children (half-siblings to our line):

1960.2.  Richard Bristol was born in 1714 in Connecticut, and died in Apr 1800.  He married first, 11 May 1738, Tryal Norton [3910.5], daughter of Samuel Norton and Abigail Ward.  Tryal was born 16 Jan 1705/06, and died 19 Aug 1784.  Richard then married about 1785, Mary McKean.
Richard and first wife Tryal had two children, listed under Tryal.

1960.3.  Desire Bristol (1719 CT - 1800) had descendants and is expanded below.

Bezaleel married a third time, 13 Feb 1723/24 in Connecticut, Sarah Stone [15688.3.2.4], daughter of Samuel Stone and Sarah Taintor.  Sarah was born 5 May 1689.  She is a second cousin to Bezaleel's first wife Hester.

Bezaleel and Sarah had two children (half-siblings to our line, and the other half is third cousin):

1960.4.  Sarah Bristol was born 26 May 1725 in Connecticut, and died in Durham (Middlesex) Connecticut.  She married 25 Oct 1744 in Guilford (New Haven) Connecticut, Timothy Hall, son of Ebenezer Hall and Deborah Highland.

1960.5.  Nathan Bristol (1726 CT - 1810 NY) had descendants and is expanded below.

1960.3.  Desire Bristol was born 6 Feb 1718/19 in Connecticut, and died 13 Oct 1800.  She married 19 Oct 1743, Ebenezer Fowler.  Ebenezer was born 11 Jan 1719 in Guilford (New Haven) Connecticut, and died 19 Feb 1800 in N. Guilford (New Haven) Connecticut.  Ebenezer served in the Revolutionary War.
Desire and Ebenezer had eight children (first cousins to us):

1960.3.1.  Desire Fowler was born 24 Aug 1744 in North Guilford (New Haven) Connecticut, and died 13 Aug 1824.  She married Joel Rose.

1960.3.2.  Beulah Fowler was born 25 Nov 1745 in North Guilford (New Haven) Connecticut, and died in 1750, age 5.

1960.3.3.  Ebenezer Fowler was born 17 Apr 1747 in North Guilford (New Haven) Connecticut, and died 1 Jan 1833.  He married Lois Rossiter [15688.3.3.9.2.1], daughter of Benjamin Rossiter (1718 CT - 1796 CT) and Sarah Morse (1728 CT - 1828 CT).  Lois was born 13 Jul 1759, and died 17 Jun 1791.

1960.3.4.  William Fowler was born 20 Dec 1748 in North Guilford (New Haven) Connecticut, and died 15 May 1815.  He served in the Revolutionary War.

1960.3.5.  Nathan Fowler was born in 1750 in North Guilford (New Haven) Connecticut.  He married Sarah Kimberley.

1960.3.6.  Thomas Fowler was born 21 Jul 1752 in North Guilford (New Haven) Connecticut, and died 2 Dec 1776 in North Guilford.  He served in the Revolutionary War; a member of the militia, he was called into service for 13 days around the time of Lexington and Concord, then released.  His death in 1776 was at home, and as far as we know was not related to the war.  Thomas married Beulah Bishop.  Beulah was born in 1742.

1960.3.7.  Ruth Fowler was born 6 Mar 1754 in North Guilford (New Haven) Connecticut, and died 21 Nov 1833.  She married William Chittenden [7854.3.2.3.3.1], son of Jared Chittenden (1734-1824) and Deborah Stone (1737-1792).  William was born 28 May 1758.

1960.3.8.  Caleb Fowler was born 31 Dec 1755 in North Guilford (New Haven) Connecticut, and died 12 Oct 1822.  He married Olive Meigs [3908.3.4.4], daughter of Elias Meigs and Rachel Bishop.  Caleb and Olive are both related to us, but not to each other.
Caleb served in the Revolutionary War, a member of the Continental Army from 1 Jun 1777 to 27 Nov 1780.  He was in two battles during the war.

1960.5.  Nathan Bristol was born 11 Sep 1726 in Connecticut, and died in 1810 in New York.  He married 11 Jan 1750, Ruth Howe.
Nathan and Ruth had seven children (first cousins to us):

1960.5.1.  Nathan Bristol was born 5 Apr 1751.

1960.5.2.  Ruth Bristol was born 16 Nov 1753.  She married Nehemiah March.

1960.5.3.  Richard Bristol was born 17 Jun 1756.  He married Candace Gibbs.

1960.5.4.  Amos Bristol was born 20 Jan 1759, and died 8 Dec 1848.  He married Jerusha Pratt [3930.9.3.6], daughter of David Pratt and Jerusha Chalker.  Jerusha was born in 1759 in Connecticut, and died 5 May 1841.

Amos and Jerusha had four children (both second and third cousin to us):

1960.5.4.1.  Richard Bristol was born 20 Jan 1795 in Meredith (Delaware) New York.  He married 10 Jul 1817 in Meredith, Sylvania Thompson.

1960.5.4.2.  Franklin Bristol was born 29 Aug 1799 in Meredith (Delaware) New York.  He married 14 Feb 1827, Marina Strong.

1960.5.4.3.  Nathan Bristol was born about 1801 in Meredith (Delaware) New York.

1960.5.4.4.  John Bristol was born about 1803 in Meredith (Delaware) New York.

1960.5.5.  Sarah Bristol was born 27 Aug 1761, and died 31 Jul 1842, probably in Harpersfield (Delaware) New York.  She married Isaac Pierce. Isaac was born in 1762 and died 3 May 1848 in Harpersfield (Delaware) New York. Sarah and Isaac moved to Harpersfield in 1797. Isaac served in the War of 1812.

Sarah and Isaac had eight children (second cousins to us):

1960.5.5.1. Candace Pierce was born in 1792 and died 5 Mar 1859. She married Botsford Hinman.

1960.5.5.2. Ebenezer Pierce was born 28 Sep 1793, and died 8 Mar 1860. He married Martha ___. Martha was born 6 Apr 1788, and died 22 Jul 1864.

1960.5.5.3. Nathan Pierce was born 7 Sep 1797, and died 10 Jan 1871. He married first, Susan Hamilton. Susan was born about 1796 and died on 21 Jun 1852. Nathan married second, Harriet Odell.

1960.5.5.4. Isaac Pierce was born in 1800 in Harpersfield (Delaware) New York, and died in 1892 in Butts Corner (Delaware) New York. He married first, Eunice Judd (also seen as Emma Judd). Eunice was born in 1797 and died in 1858. Isaac married second, Fanny Toles.

1960.5.5.5. Sally Pierce was born probably sometime around 1800 and died 12 Nov 1881 in Wisconsin. She married first, Horace Hickock, son of Heman Hickock and Lucinda Parker. Horace was born in 1798 and died 26 Jan 1831. Sally married second, about 1846, John Hamilton.

1960.5.5.6. Mary Pierce was born 26 Jul 1802 in Harpersfield (Delaware) New York, and died 20 Jun 1849 in Harpersfield. She married Clemon Nichols. Clemon was born 10 May 1802, and died 28 May 1894 in Harpersfield.

1960.5.5.7. Mial Pierce was born Apr 1804 in Harpersfield (Delaware) New York, and died 14 Mar 1859. He married 9 Dec 1829, Anna S. Copley. Anna was born 5 Jan 1809, and died on 1 Jan 1884.

1960.5.5.8. Richard G. Pierce was born 24 Nov 1807 in Harpersfield (Delaware) New York, and died 26 Apr 1888. He married Ann R. Birdsall. Ann was born 30 Aug 1815, and died 29 Dec 1884.

1960.5.6.  John Bristol was born 17 Oct 1766.

1960.5.7.  Molly Bristol was born 25 Jan 1769.  She married Zenas Beers.
