| These pages are a compilation of my work and that of others. You are welcome to use anything on this page, but be aware that although I have been as careful and accurate as possible, I am not a professional genealogist. I have been working on our genealogy for over 25 years, and started the website in 2005. Some of the lines I have researched myself; some, especially on Rita’s side, we inherited the research of other family members over the past 75 years. Still, the majority of these pages are limited to compilations from published books and what I could find on the internet. The target audience was and remains our family, so the family pages are limited to our own ancestors. I have set it up so that each page is one set of ancestors, with their descendants. 978. Daniel Stevens was born 7 Oct 1732 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died 14 Oct 1759 in Killingworth. He is a son of Daniel Stevens [1956] and Esther Chatfield [1957]. Daniel married 15 May 1754 in Killingworth, his cousin
979. Naomi Chatfield. Naomi was born 15 May 1734 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died 13 May 1758 in Killingworth. She is a daughter of Josiah Chatfield [1958] and Mary Hull [1959].
Daniel and Naomi are first cousins, both being descended from George Chatfield and Hester Hull. They are also second cousins once removed, both descending through their mothers from Josiah Hull and Elizabeth Loomis.
They were married in the 2nd Church of Killingworth (Congregational) by Rev. William Seward.
Naomi died shortly after the birth of their third child, and Daniel died soon after, leaving three young orphans.
Daniel and Naomi had three children:
978.1. Lydia Stevens was born 26 Oct 1755 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut. One source has Lydia married to 3916.3.2.6 John Dudley, but I believe that is her cousin 3912.6.9 Lydia Stevens.
978.2. Rebina Stevens [489] and Daniel Blatchley are direct ancestors, separate page.
978.3. Charles Stevens was born 17 Apr 1758 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut.
