| These pages are a compilation of my work and that of others. You are welcome to use anything on this page, but be aware that although I have been as careful and accurate as possible, I am not a professional genealogist. I have been working on our genealogy for over 25 years, and started the website in 2005. Some of the lines I have researched myself; some, especially on Rita’s side, we inherited the research of other family members over the past 75 years. Still, the majority of these pages are limited to compilations from published books and what I could find on the internet. The target audience was and remains our family, so the family pages are limited to our own ancestors. I have set it up so that each page is one set of ancestors, with their descendants. 962. Taylor Brooks was born 28 Aug 1718 in Scituate (Plymouth) Massachusetts, and died in Weymouth (Norfolk) Massachusetts. He is a son of Nathaniel Brooks [1924] and Mary Taylor [1925]. Taylor married in Massachusetts, his cousin
963. Miriam Curtis. Miriam was born 1 Jan 1713/14 in Scituate (Plymouth) Massachusetts. She is a daughter of Samuel Curtis [1926] and Anna Barstow [1927].
Taylor and Miriam are second cousins once removed, both descending from 7704 Thomas Curtis.
Taylor and Miriam had five children:
962.1. Mehitabel Brooks [481] (1741 MA - 1774 ME) and Benjamin Vining are direct ancestors, separate page.
962.2. Noah Brooks was born in 1744 in Massachusetts, and died 28 Aug 1789
at sea. He married Hannah Stetson. Noah was a master mariner. He was lost at sea when his ship sank.
Noah and Hannah had two children (first cousins to us):
962.2.1. Noah Brooks was born 7 Jul 1782 in Scituate (Plymouth) Massachusetts, and died 28 Jan 1852 in Dorchester (Norfolk) Massachusetts. He married 16 Feb 1812 in Massachusetts, Esther Stetson. She is probably a cousin through his mother’s side, but the relationship is unknown.
962.2.2. Hannah Brooks was born 1780 in Massachusetts.
962.3. Anna Brooks was born in Apr 1747 in Massachusetts.
962.4. Miriam Brooks was born in Apr 1751 in Massachusetts.
962.5. Amos Brooks was born in Mar 1753 in Massachusetts.
