These pages are a compilation of my work and that of others. I have been working on our genealogy for over 25 years, and started the website in 2005. Some of the lines I have researched myself; some, especially on Rita’s side, we inherited the research of other family members over the past 75 years. Still, the majority of these pages are limited to compilations from published books and what I could find on the internet. The target audience was and remains our family, so the family pages are limited to our own ancestors. I have set it up so that each page is one set of ancestors, with their descendants. Daniel Blatchley and Amy Bristol

244. Daniel Blatchley Jr. was born 6 Feb 1791 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died 29 May 1861 in Windsor (Broome) New York. He is a son of Daniel Blatchley [488] and Rebina Stevens [489]. Daniel married Jun 1810 in Connecticut,

245. Amy Bristol. Amy was born 8 Jul 1792 in Killingworth (Middlesex) Connecticut, and died 20 Feb 1851 in Windsor (Broome) New York. She is a daughter of Bezaleel Bristol [490] and Mary Redfield [491].

Daniel and Amy are fifth cousins, both descending from John Bishop and Anne Stevens. They were Congregational.

244.1. Harlow Blatchley [122] (1810 NY - 1885 WI) and Phoebe Woodruff are direct ancestors, separate page.

244.4. George Harmon Blatchley was born 4 Feb 1818 in Windsor (Broome) New York, and died 3 Aug 1818 in Windsor, age 6 months.

244.7. Orpha Blatchley (1823 NY - 1898 NY) had descendants and is expanded below.

244.9. Leander Blatchley (1830 NY - 1906) had descendants and is expanded below.

244.2. Erastus Rossiter Blatchley was born 27 Jun 1812 in Windsor (Broome) New York, and died 19 Dec 1895 in Windsor. He married 5 May 1838 in New York, Achsah Woodruff. Achsah was born 26 May 1813 in Windsor (Broome) New York, and died 26 Nov 1881 in New York. Achsah is probably a sister or cousin to our ancestor Phoebe, who married Erastus's brother Harlow. But we can find nothing on Achsah's parents either. They were Methodist.
Erastus and Achsah had three children (first cousins to us):

244.3. Albert Collins Blatchley was born 23 Aug 1815 in Windsor (Broome) New York, and died 6 Feb 1890 in Windsor. He married first, 9 Jul 1837 in New York, Sarah Vesta Guernsey. Sarah was born 14 Jul 1815 in Windsor (Broome) New York, and died 1 Dec 1847 in Windsor. Her brother married Albert's sister Lydia, and her sister is Albert's second wife.
Albert and Sarah had three children (first cousins to us):

244.3.1. Mary E. Blatchley was born 16 Jul 1838 in New York, and died in 1918. She married her second cousin Daniel B. Judd [488.1.1.2], son of Allen S. Judd and Emeline Stannard. Daniel was born 16 Feb 1834 in Windsor (Broome) New York, and died in 1896 in Windsor.

244.3.2. Achsa Blatchley was born in 1842 in New York, and died in Colorado. She married Jonathan Hazard.
Achsah and Jonathan had two children, order of birth unknown (second cousins to us):

244.3.3. Albert Philemon Blatchley was born in 1843 in New York, and died in 1883 in New York. He married Mary Hazard.

After Sarah died Albert married second, 31 Dec 1849 in Windsor (Broome) New York, Sarah's sister Eliza Jane Guernsey. Eliza was born 20 Mar 1825, and died 15 Oct 1912.
Albert and Eliza had one child that we know of, there may be others (first cousin to us):

244.3.4. Virginia May Blatchley was born 16 May 1854, and died 21 Jun 1929. She married 22 Apr 1885, Arthur S. Pierson. Arthur was born on 9 Nov 1852, and died 14 May 1922.
Virginia and Arthur had two children (second cousins to us):

244.3.4.1. Mabel M. Pierson was born 20 Mar 1886, and died 18 Nov 1913. She married Junius G. Dumond.

244.3.4.2. Howar Pierson was born about 1888, and died Sep 1984 in New York. He married Mildred ___.

244.5. Lydia Rebina Blatchley was born 19 Jun 1819 in Windsor (Broome) New York, and died 16 Sep 1910 in Sac City (Sac) Iowa. She married on 4 Dec 1839 in Windsor (Broome) New York, Uri Tracy Guernsey. Uri was born 20 Oct 1813 in Windsor (Broome) New York, and died 11 Sep 1861 in New York. His sisters Sarah and Eliza both married Lydia's brother Albert.
Lydia and Uri had nine children (first cousins to us):

244.5.1. Elmer Erastus Guernsey was born 30 Jan 1841 in New York, and died 19 Apr 1858 in New York.

244.5.2. Harry Johnson Guernsey was born 22 Dec 1842 in New York, and died 29 Jun 1919 in Texas.

244.5.3. Elliott Birney Guernsey was born 7 May 1844 in New York, and died 6 Dec 1864 in New York. He served in the Civil War, joining the 137th New York Infantry on 9 Sep 1864 along with his cousin 244.6.2 Frank Blatchley, but died apparently during training. The roster has him as Birney Gurnsley.

244.5.4. Flora Ann Guernsey was born 29 Jun 1846 in New York, and died 14 Mar 1881 in Iowa. She married Evan Jones.
Flora and Evan had five children (second cousins to us):

244.5.5. Vesta R. Guernsey was born 17 Nov 1849 in New York, and died 21 Jan 1850 in New York.

244.5.6. Amy Rosalia Guernsey was born 6 Dec 1850 in New York, and died 1925 in Washington. She married Charles Lattin. Charles was born on 22 Jan 1845 in Illinois.
Amy and Charles had nine children (second cousins to us):

244.5.7. Mary Arvilla Guernsey was born 9 Aug 1852 in New York, and died 2 Oct 1920 in Rhea (Dewey) Oklahoma. She married Charles Edwin Thomas. Charles was born 8 Oct 1852 in Russell, New York, and died 25 Apr 1911 in Port (Washita) Oklahoma.
Mary and Charles had seven children (second cousins to us):

244.5.8. Charles Holbrook Guernsey was born 13 Jun 1854 in New York. He married 1888 in Iowa, Orcelia White.

244.5.9. Orpha Jane Guernsey was born 10 Jul 1858 in New York, and died 18 Jan 1937 in Colorado. She married 1877 in Iowa, Benjamin E. Thomas. Benjamin was born 1860 in New York.
Orpha and Benjamin had five children (second cousins to us):

244.6. George Harmon Blatchley was born 11 Mar 1821 in Windsor (Broome) New York, and died 11 Apr 1871 in Windsor. He married 3 Jun 1840 in Windsor, Rhoda Mary Hawley. Rhoda was born 11 Nov 1821 in Pennsylvania or New York, and died 29 Mar 1900 in New York. She is buried in the Wesleyan Methodist Cemetery in Windsor.
George and Rhoda had seven children (first cousins to us):

244.6.1. Althea Blatchley was born in 1841 in New York, and died 3 Jan 1867 in New York.

244.6.2. Francis A. Blatchley was born in Jan 1844 in New York, and died in 1925. He was called Frank. He married his second cousin, Ann Elizabeth Judd [488.1.1.3], daughter of Allen S. Judd and Emeline Stannard. Ann was born 23 Mar 1845 in New York, and died in 1923.
Frank served in the Civil War, Co. L, 137th New York Infantry. The Regiment formed in 1862, Frank joined 1 Sep 1864.
Frank and Ann had two children that we know of, there may be others (both second and third cousins to us):

244.6.4. Asa A. Blatchley was born in Sep 1850 in New York, and died in 1927. He married Lana A. ___.
Asa and Lana had two children (second cousins to us):

244.6.7. Bruce E. Blatchley was born 21 Sep 1855 in New York, and died 18 Oct 1893 in New York. He drowned, leaving a wife and children (names are unknown).

244.7. Orpha Blatchley was born 5 Apr 1823 in Broome Co, New York, and died 28 Sep 1898 in Windsor (Broome) New York. Orpha married first on 23 Feb 1843, Holbrook S. Judd. Holbrook was born in 1822 in Broome Co, New York, and died in 1853, probably in New York. After Holbrook died, Orpha married second, George ___. George was born 1818 in Windsor (Broome) New York. We don't know of any children from this second marriage.
Orpha and Holbrook had two children, probably born in New York (first cousins to us):

244.7.1. Leman M. Judd was born in 1845, and died in 1932. He married Myra Bute. Myra was born in 1854 in New York, and died in 1894 in New York.
Leman and Myra had four children, probably born in New York (second cousins to us):

244.8. Solon Stocking Blatchley was born 12 Jan 1826 in Broome Co, New York, and died 9 May 1903. He married 25 May 1848 in Windsor (Broome) New York, Hannah Ann Phillips. Hannah was born 6 Jun 1826 in Broome Co, New York, and died 13 Jun 1897 in New York.
Solon and Hannah had four children (first cousins to us):

244.8.1. Alma Ann Blatchley was born Feb 1850 in New York, and died in 1940 in New York. She married 10 Sep 1885, DeVille Larrabee. DeVille was born in 1853, and died in 1920.
Alma and DeVille had two children (second cousins to us):

244.8.2. Eleanor Amy Blatchley was born 22 Feb 1851 in New York, and died 28 May 1858 in New York, age 7.

244.8.3. Adelpha Mary Blatchley was born 18 Sep 1857 in New York. She married 5 Feb 1875, George E. Space. George died in 1912.
Adelpha and George had four children (second cousins to us):

244.8.4. Achsa Idilla Blatchley was born 9 Mar 1862 in New York, and died in 1940 in New York. She married George T. Young. George was born in 1861. Achsa was the Postmaster of Windsor, New York, 1893 to 1904.

244.9. Leander Blatchley was born in 1830 in Broome Co, New York, and died in 1906. He married Lorilla Pease. Lorilla was born in 1836 in New York, and died in 1903.
Leander and Lorilla had one child that we know of, there are probably others (first cousin to us):

244.9.1. Elsie Blatchley was born about 1856 in New York, and died 17 Feb 1887 in New York.
