116.7. Edwin A. Aldrich {wa} was born 28 Apr 1845 in Granger (Allegany) New York, and died 22 Jan 1929 in Aitkin (Aitkin) Minnesota. He married 12 Mar 1867 in Columbia Co, Wisconsin, Emma A. Fuller, the daughter of William H. Fuller (1801 CT -1870 IA) and Mary W. Blackmarr (1808-1870). Emma was born 12 Nov 1845 in Kirkland, Ohio, and died 1888 in Lake Co, South Dakota. They were farmers.
Edwin and his parents moved to Columbia Co, Wisconsin in 1850, when he was 5 years old. Edwin and Emma moved to Cerro Gordo County in Iowa in 1867, and on to Lake Co in South Dakota about 1880. There was a large migration to the Dakotas about this time -- some of the Vinings also went. It turned out that they were misled by a few unusually wet years. The Dakotas soon returned to arid land, and many people moved back to Wisconsin or Minnesota.
Edwin and Emma had five children (first cousins to us):

116.7.1. Bertha L. Aldrich {wa} was born 6 Jan 1868 in Cerro Gordo Co, Iowa. She married 23 Aug 1893 in Madison (Lake) South Dakota, Alexander H. McLellan. Alexander was born 22 Sep 1870 in Stevens Point (Portage) Wisconsin.
Bertha and Alexander had three children (second cousins to us):

116.7.1.1. Maude E. McLellan {wa} was born 15 Jun 1894 in Madison (Lake) South Dakota.  She married Paul F. Budeit. Paul was born 2 Jul 1888 in Norwich Co, Connecticut.

116.7.1.2. Elloa McLellan {wa} was born 4 Jun 1899 in Madison (Lake) South Dakota.

116.7.1.3. James Orville McLellan {wa} was born 8 Jul 1902 in Madison (Lake) South Dakota.

116.7.2. Warren Harrison Aldrich {wa} was born 21 Apr 1871 in Mason City (Cerro Gordo) Iowa, and died 1938 in Madison (Lake) South Dakota. He married first, about 1896 in Hawarden (Sioux) Iowa, Susan Reed. Susan was born Apr 1867 in Iowa, and died 1902 in Hawarden (Sioux) Iowa. {The Iowa marriage place may be incorrect -- Warren moved to South Dakota at age 9 -- perhaps he went back to Iowa for Susan, but nine seems very young to have formed such an attachment. I think it more likely that she also moved to Dakota with her parents and they were married there, or perhaps they both went back to Iowa where more members of their families were living. The birthplaces of their children and their separate places of death also indicate that they moved from Iowa to South Dakota in 1896, back  to Iowa about 1901, then Warren returned to Dakota sometime after 1902. it’s possible, but I suspect all of it could be in South Dakota.}

116.7.2.1. Myrtle Aldrich {wa} was born Nov 1896 in South Dakota. She married Ruben Anderson.

116.7.2.2. Edwin Roy Aldrich {wa} was born 12 Dec 1900 in Madison (Lake) South Dakota, and died 27 Dec 1949 in Madison (Dane) Wisconsin. Edwin married first, about 1921, Lila Mae Rhodes. They had two children (Elaine and Elloa).
Edwin married second, 1 Jun 1927 in Madison (Dane) Wisconsin, Adelaide Fidelia Schultz. She was born 21 Aug 1908 in Madison (Dane) Wisconsin, and died 6 Feb 1981 in Madison. They had five children (Mary, Sharon, James, William and Thomas).
Warren married second, 12 Dec 1905, Florence M. Walters. She was born 24 Dec 1878 in Canada, and died 9 Jul 1964 in Madison (Lake) South Dakota. They had no children.

116.7.3. Ina Aldrich {wa} was born 16 Feb 1876 in Cerro Gordo Co, Iowa, and died at age 8, 3 Dec 1884 in Lake Co, South Dakota.

116.7.4. Alta Aldrich {wa} was born 24 Sep 1878 in Cerro Gordo Co, Iowa, and died at age 6, 7 Dec 1884 in Lake Co, South Dakota.

116.7.5. Ethel Aldrich {wa} was born 29 Jun 1884 in Lake Co, South Dakota. She married 24 Jun 1904 in Lake Co, South Dakota, Henry Woldt. Henry was born 9 Feb 1882 in Lake Co, South Dakota.
Ethel and Henry had five children (second cousins to us) -- the order and most birth dates are unknown:

116.7.5.1. Mildred Lorane Woldt {wa} was born 28 Jun 1908 in Lake Co, South Dakota, and died at age 15, 20 Sep 1923 in Lake County.

116.7.5.2. Derve Code Woldt {wa} was born sometime around 1910.

116.7.5.3. Virginia Emma Woldt {wa} was born sometime around 1910.

116.7.5.4. Kenneth Edwin Woldt {wa} was born sometime around 1910.

116.7.5.5. Carl William Woldt {wa} was born sometime around 1910.
