Bill’s Family: Ancestors of Eldora Beahm |
||
| These pages are a compilation of my work and that of others. You are welcome to use anything on this page, but be aware that although I have been as careful and accurate as possible, I am not a professional genealogist. I have been working on our genealogy for over 25 years, and started the website in 2005. Some of the lines I have researched myself; some, especially on Rita’s side, we inherited the research of other family members over the past 75 years. Still, the majority of these pages are limited to compilations from published books and what I could find on the internet. The target audience was and remains our family, so the family pages are limited to our own ancestors. I have set it up so that each page is one set of ancestors, with their descendants. For the most part I have limited my scope to their great-grandchildren (second cousins to us); in some cases I list sources which may continue further. | HOME | |

28. Cabert Beahm, called Charles Beahm {a,b,c,e,f,g} was born in 1850 in Medina County, Ohio, and died sometime after 1910 in Columbia County, Wisconsin. He is a son of John Beahm [56] and Barbary ___[57]. He married about 1875 in Columbia County,
29. Jane Almina Aldrich {a,b,c,d,e}. Jane was born in 1858 in Wisconsin, and died 6 May 1894 in Marcellon (Columbia) Wisconsin. She is a daughter of James Aldrich [58] and Eunice Booth [59].
Charles and Jane were dairy farmers, and were Presbyterian. Jane is listed in the 1870 census in Wisconsin, but the Beahm’s are not, so we are guessing that Charles moved to Wisconsin in the early 1870’s. Cabert was usually called Charles or Charlie. Jane died of pneumonia; she is buried in Comstock Cemetery, Marcellon. Charles was living with his son David in the 1910 census.
Charles and Jane had four children:
28.1. Emma Jane Beahm {b,e,h} was born 1876 in Columbia Co, Wisconsin. She married 24 Sep 1896 in Columbia Co, ___ Townsend.
28.2. Eva May Beahm {b,e} was born 25 Mar 1879 in Columbia Co, Wisconsin.
28.3. Clara Estelle Beahm {b,c,h} was born 14 Dec 1882 in Marcellon (Columbia) Wisconsin, and died in Columbia Co. She married 29 Nov 1905 in Portage (Columbia) Wisconsin, Lewis E. Gilbert, the son of Erastus Gilbert and Rebecca Williams. Lewis was born about 1880 in Wisconsin (the town is partly illegible, L___ville, looks like Loroville?). They were Presbyterians, and were farmers. They were married by Rev John G. Blue.
28.4. David Charles Beahm [14] {b} (1888 WI - ~1940 WI) and Eva Muriel Vining are direct ancestors, separate page.
